SEKISUI MEDICAL CO., LTD. (President: Mutsumi Fukuda) is pleased to announce that the reimbursement by National Health Insurance (2,000 points) of“Clinichip®HPV”, developed with Toshiba Corporation, was approved on May 1, 2011.
This product is the first in-vitro diagnostic reagent (IVD) for detecting thirteen genotypes of high-risk human papillomavirus (HPV), using the LAMP technology and Toshiba’s electrochemical DNA-chip systems. And it will be used for predicting a prognosis of a patient with CIN1 or CIN2 (cervical intraepithelial neoplasia) to support safe and efficient medical treatments.
The product has already been used in the domestic market at major commercial laboratories and medical institutions.
