International graduate opportunities in Sekisui Medical

International graduate recruitment is now open

Sekisui Medical has been recruiting international graduates for over 20 years from a variety of backgrounds including: life sciences; business & languages; translation; arts; and biomolecular & biomedical sciences.

The company has effective systems in place to support graduates as they start their new lives in Japan. Successful candidates will be assisted with their work-visa applications, given Japanese language training, provided with subsidised accommodation, and more.

International graduates can enter the company in two ways:

1. Candidates who hold a PhD in Pharmacology / Pharmacogenomics / Toxicogenomics / Biochemistry / Molecular Biology / Genetics, and other sciences can apply to be Research Scientists in our company.

2. Candidates who hold qualifications in Finance / Accounting / Business Administration / Marketing / Biochemistry / Clinical Testing / Organic Chemistry / Human Resources / Education / Languages can apply to take part in our two-year Graduate Recruitment Programme. This program is made up of two phases. In Phase 1 (up to 6 months), the graduate works as an English Language Instructor in our head office in Tokyo. During this time they can learn Japanese, become accustomed to life in Japan, and develop their business skills. In Phase 2, the graduates are transferred according to their abilities to an appropriate department elsewhere in the company: Diagnostic Product Planning or Development; Pharmaceutical R&D and Technical Development; Corporate Planning, Accounting & Finance; or Human Resources.
