Tsukuba Research Institute

We develop IVD products using our company's proprietary technologies in segments such as Clinical Chemistry/Immuno-assay, Coagulation, Diabetes and Infectious Diseases.
We utillize unique methods such as the enzymatic analysis and latex turbidimetry immuno-assay used in automatic analyzers. Separation technologies utilizing polymeric microparticles are used in chromatographic columns for Diabetes testing.

Tsukuba Research Institute, Ami Research Facility

Utilizing our immunoassay, molecular analysis and cell culture techniques, we conduct feasibility studies to develop new biomarkers. Furthermore we develop IVD products such as highly sensitive immunoassays as well as Point of Care testing for use in the field of Infectious Diseases.

Group Development Sites

We conduct R&D for IVD products in the segments of Clinical Chemistry, Coagulation and Infectious Diseases to meet the needs of our customers in the Americas and EMEA. Furthermore, clinical trials are conducted in order to introduce Japanese IVD products to Americas/EMEA markets.

Group Development Sites

Utilizing polymerization, molding, blending and assembly techniques (all core technologies of the Sekisui Chemical Group), we conduct R&D for vacuum blood collection tubes and other equipment used in the field of pre-analytical IVD process. We also develop manufacturing techniques for devices such as columns used in Diabetes testing.

Iwate Research & Development Center

We develop the original peptide synthetic method focusing on the sterically congested cyclic peptides containing N-Me amino acid. The STag assisted peptide synthesis (STag-PS) and sophisticated purification system achieve top-level process development of peptide APIs.

Drug Development Solutions Business

Analytical Technology Center for Drug Development

We develop new evaluation systems for biomarkers and other related products for clinical and non-clinical applications in pharmacological product development through the use of novel techniques in immunology and genetics.
